ATI Announces Mobility Radeon 5000 Series
Nu-i noutate dar e anuntul oficial.
NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 240: The Card That Doesn't Matter
Titlul spune totul.
Asta doar ca spicuire.while the GT 240 is supposed to be below the 9800GT in price, it’s not. It’s certainly below it in performance

AMD’s Radeon HD 5450: The Next Step In HTPC Video Cards
GF100 Cards Finally Named: GTX 480 & GTX 470Compared to AMD’s previous generation of bottom-tier cards, the Radeon HD 5450 doesn’t offer too many surprises. Cards at this end of the spectrum have to give up a lot of their performance to meet their cost, power, and form-factor needs, and the 5450 is no different. It certainly produces playable framerates for most games (and even at high settings for some of them), and it’s going to be a great way to convince IGP users to move up to their first discrete GPU. But for a bottom-tier GPU, spending a little more money has always purchased you a great deal more powerful video card, and this hasn’t changed with the 5450.

AMD has finally pushed the final Evergreen chip out the door, bringing an end to their 6 month launch plan and bringing DirectX 11 hardware from the top entirely to the bottom – and all before NVIDIA could launch a single DX11 card.
Nvidia continua linia denumirilor aiuritoare:
100, 200, 300, 400... cine mai tine scorul. Ma intreb cate placi din seriile astea vor fi in realitate un 8800 (G92) rebranduitFun Fact of the Week: GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 will be the names of the first two GPUs shipped based on our new GF100 chip!
It’s a very small piece of information so we don’t have a lot of commentary here, but the names are a little bit surprising. The names are consistent with NVIDIA’s G/GT/GTX naming scheme, but we’re not quite sure what happened with the numbers. Technically speaking NVIDIA launched their 300 series late last year with the GeForce 310, an OEM-only rebadge of the GeForce 210. But we had expected that NVIDIA would fill the rest of the 300 series with GF100 and GF100-derrived parts, similar to how the 200 series is organized with a mix of DX10 and DX10.1 capable parts. Such an expectation is also consistent with the earlier rumors on the GTX 380 and GTX 360.
Instead they've gone ahead and started the 400 series of cards with GF100....

AMD’s Radeon HD 5570: Low Profile, Higher Performance
Cam scumpa, cam slabuta, cam fierbinte comparata cu competitia.
Deci buna doar daca trebuie LP.As a video-only HTPC card, it’s no better than the 5450 in features, while it’s worse in terms of power consumption and noise. Based on our research the 5570 isn’t the HTPC über card we were expecting it to be, so if you can bear the limitations of the 5450, that’s going to be the better card. Otherwise the 5670 is the most capable choice out there. The 5570 does nothing better than either of those two cards when it comes to HTPC use.
[...]
If you can fit a full-sized card, you can do much better than the 5570 when it comes solely to performance; the 9600GT and the GT 240 are both much more capable cards for the $80-$85 price tag.
Last, but certainly not least however, is the area the 5570 excels at: low-profile cards.
